Before becoming an acupuncturist, Kelly knew she loved thinking about people. She was convinced that this enduring fascination would make her a writer. Writing gifted her potent opportunities to spend time with others — to visit the studios of artists and architects, to enjoy long conversations with musicians and chefs, and to simply observe people with openness and attention. Yet as Kelly pursued this way of engaging with the world, she felt that something was being left behind.
In 2019, Kelly followed a yearning to better connect with her body and decided to study acupuncture and herbalism. It was a leap of faith, one she hadn’t realized would revitalize her whole sense of purpose. In the process of becoming a healthcare practitioner, Kelly intuitively grasped the importance of accepting oneself as well as accepting care from others as pathways to greater well-being. Just as she has learned to appreciate her highly personal process, Kelly is committed to helping others find and attune to their own rhythm of healing.
Kelly has helped people manage and recover from a variety of conditions including musculoskeletal pain, menstrual irregularities, IBS, and anxiety and depression. She draws from multiple therapeutic traditions within East Asian medicine and finds joy in adapting her approach to meet her clients’ needs.
